I think he tells Don this when he is in the hospital after his heart attack.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4642584784595208250.post-51035314970665166282011-03-03T20:55:15.417-05:002011-03-03T20:55:15.417-05:00I find it interesting that drinking has become so ...I find it interesting that drinking has become so representative of Mad Men to the point where AMC has developed a iPhone app that allows users to "make" the cocktails seen on the show.

I also think it’s interesting that Don almost always drinks straight whiskey. That, in addition to many of his other habits, seems like it is trying to prove Don’s masculinity. In Roger’s case I believe that he drinks something trendy as part of a mid-life crisis. In addition to his affair with Joan and his evening with the aluminun twins, Roger seems to use his drinking to prove that age is just a number.KaCroninhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02047577460616641038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4642584784595208250.post-51549562374053368342011-02-21T22:41:12.763-05:002011-02-21T22:41:12.763-05:00This is a really interesting post. I have considered many aspects of the show that reveal a person's character such as clothing and smoking choices but I never thought about how drink choices reflect on the characters. I think you could also argue that Betty's drink choices show her conformity to everyone around her and what she is supposed to be as a woman. I would like to look further into why Roger drinks milk and vodka all the time too, or why Cooper not drinking or smoking is significant.Jocelynnoreply@blogger.com
